Over the last 20, years Daniel Bouman has demonstrated a passionate commitment to conservation leadership in the greater Sunshine Coast region. His first public roll was with the successful campaign to create the Tetrahedron Provincial Park (1989-1994). Shortly after that Dan helped establish the influential Sunshine Coast Conservation Association (SCCA) and became its first Executive Director in 2000.
Under his leadership, the SCCA experienced a number of unlikely successes in the courts and other quasi-judicial venues.
Dan is the co-author of The People’s Water a book about how citizens worked together to protect drinking water source areas on the Sunshine Coast.
