Michael Wolfe - Richmond Council
Born and raised in Richmond, Michael is one of the city’s leading environmentalists. He first became a farmland advocate while working on his science degree in conservation biology, was later chosen as the Richmond director of the Farmland Defence League of BC, and regularly leads group tours as the Eco-Tours Coordinator for the Garden City Lands Coalition.
Michael is a science teacher for the Richmond School District, connecting thousands of students with nature through school garden projects. An avid cyclist, he is a member of the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition and cycled 80km during the recent bike to work week campaign.
If elected, Michael is committed to providing a voice for the environment in all of city council's recommendations and in the planning for Richmond's 136-acre Garden City Lands as a parkland for agriculture, recreation, and conservation.
