Michelle Kirby - Oak Bay Council

Michelle Kirby - picMichelle has been a volunteer for the Oak Bay soft plastics recycling depot since 2007, organized three annual shoreline clean ups at Willows Beach for the Community Association of Oak Bay, and advocated for the inclusion of soft plastics in the municipal recycling program to encourage education on the plastics pollution issue.

Michelle is an avid commuter cyclist, advocated and fundraised for additional bike racks to be installed at L'Ecole Willows School, and continues to advocate for safer walking and cycling routes to schools in Oak Bay. Michelle shops locally, buys organic when possible, and is an active supporter of the local food security movement.
