Rose Henry - Victoria Council

Rose Henry - picRose Henry has long been a champion of local social and environmental issues. A fixture in Victoria's activist scene, Rose is best known for her work as a tireless advocate for affordable housing, public transit, and poverty alleviation. Her actions are one of a person who has a high concern for this home we call earth, and of caring for those who inhabit it.

She is a compassionate and hard-working advocate who will serve beyond the call of duty to press for
solutions to the growing problems that our community faces: addiction, homelessness, intolerance, housing affordability, public safety.

Rose's track record is one of a true sustainability champion - working on issues that integrate the social, economic, and environmental well being of us all. She will make an excellent addition to Victoria City Council.

“Rose Henry is hope and possibility! She embodies justice, and speaks and acts from the heartmind for all people of conscience. Victoria’s council needs Rose Henry, as Rose is the personification of democracy as protection, provision and participation!” - Dr. J.M.C Price, Assoc. Professor, Faculty of Education, University of Victoria: Co-founder, Harvard Association Cultivating Inter-American Democracy
