Elizabeth May is the national leader of Canada’s Green Party, a mother, and a resident of Sidney. She will work to support more organic family farms in the riding, ban oil tankers along BC's northern coast, and expand local sustainable businesses, technologies, and renewable energy.

Elizabeth May is the national leader of Canada’s Green Party, a mother, and a resident of Sidney.

She was the Sierra Club of Canada’s Executive Director for 17 years. As Senior Policy Advisor to federal Environment Minister Tom McMillan in the 1980’s, she helped create agreements for five new national parks, protect the ozone layer, and clean-up the Great Lakes.

Elizabeth will work to support more organic family farms in the riding, ban oil tankers along BC's coast, and expand local sustainable businesses, technologies, and renewable energy.

Newsweek Magazine recently named Elizabeth as one of the world’s most influential women along with Michele Obama and Hilary Clinton. She is an Officer of the Order of Canada.
