Conservation Voters of BC would like to congratulate all candidates who
ran in the recent municipal elections. Running for office is not an
easy thing to do, but giving voters a choice is the essence of
democracy.
CVBC endorsed 7 people in Victoria, and 6 in Saanich; 5 of these 7 won in Victoria, and 4 of these 6 won in Saanich.
Endorsed winners in Victoria included Alan Lowe, Sonya Chandler, Dean Fortin, Pam Madoff, and Geoff Young. Endorsed winners in Saanich included Judy Brownoff, Vic Derman, Wayne Hunter, and Vicki Sanders.
During the campaign, CVBC distributed 12,000 voter cards with our endorsees in neighbourhoods around Victoria and Saanich.
